One Governor Came, Removed The Emir; Another One Came, Removed The One That Was There—Bode George

During an interview with AIT, Chief Bode George, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), criticised the political instability in Kano State, particularly the repeated removal and reinstatement of the Emir of Kano by successive governors. He noted that one governor removed the Emir, only for another governor to remove the new Emir and attempt to reinstate the previously removed one.

George expressed concern over the political turmoil and advised caution, urging the leaders to act slowly and carefully to avoid exacerbating the situation. He emphasised the need for the political leaders to tread with caution so as to ensure peace and stability in the state.

According to him, “In Kano, once they agree with you, you’re at a high level, but if they disagree with you, God saves you. Whether it is the most important thing now or not to reduce the pain of the people of Kano, I don’t think so.
