Kano: Is It Enough to Come on Air to Speak English While Your Children Don’t Go to School?- Abubakar
During an interview with Channels Television, political analyst Atiku Abubakar criticized the reappointment of Sanusi Lamido as the Emir of Kano, questioning his effectiveness and impact on the state.
According to a report by Punch, Abubakar argued that despite the Emir’s eloquence and command of the English language, he failed to address critical issues such as the high number of out-of-school children and the prevalence of beggars on the streets.
Abubakar emphasized that leaders should prioritize tangible contributions to their communities over polished public images.
“Now you talk about the achievements of His Royal Highness, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, in a state where you have thousands of young ones out of school, what were his contributions? What did he do while he was Emir?” he asked.
