Sanusi Was Booted Out Of Jonathan’ Govt, Removed As Emir, Are You Returning Him To Continue Anarchy?
Alhaji AbdulMajid Danbilki-Kwamanda, Chairman of the Arewa Media Group and a prominent political ally of former President Muhammadu Buhari, has urged President Bola Tinubu to address the actions of the Kano State government regarding the reinstatement of Muhammadu Sanusi II as the 16th Emir of Kano. Speaking to newsmen in Kano, Danbilki-Kwamanda criticized the state government for defying a Federal High Court order that halted Sanusi’s reinstatement, warning that such actions set a dangerous precedent.
Danbilki-Kwamanda emphasized that the Kano State government’s refusal to comply with the court order undermines the rule of law and threatens national stability. He noted the inconsistency of officials who once relied on judicial support to maintain their positions now disregarding court rulings. He stressed the urgency for President Tinubu to intervene, arguing that respecting the court’s decision is crucial for peace and order.
Highlighting Sanusi’s controversial history, including his previous removals by former President Goodluck Jonathan and Kano State authorities, Danbilki-Kwamanda questioned the wisdom of reinstating him. He warned that returning Sanusi could lead to further unrest in Kano.
According to Vanguard News reports, Danbilki-Kwamanda said, “look at how Sanusi was booted out of government by former President GoodLuck Jonathan out of his Government, look at how he was removed and the reason why he was removed, now are you returning him to continue anarchy in Kano or what?”
Danbilki-Kwamanda’s appeal to President Tinubu underscores the broader implications of Kano State’s actions on Nigeria’s legal and political stability. He called for immediate federal intervention to ensure adherence to the rule of law and prevent the escalation of conflict…..See More
