3 Things Ex President Muhammadu Buhari Has Done For The Igbo People That They Will Never Forget(Photos)
It has been six years that Ex President Muhammadu Buhari administration came into being. The Daura-born General has received both commendation and condemnation from all the geo-political zones.
The Igbos from the South East will not forget him after leaving office because of the project his administration has accomplished region.
Take a look at three outstanding projects that the people from the South East region have enjoyed so far :
1. He commissioned a mausoleum in Anambra to honour the late Nnamdi Azikiwe :
Ex President Muhammadu Buhari, in January 2019 commissioned a mausoleum in honour of late Chief Nnamdi Azikiwe. The mausoleum was built at Zik’s residence, Inosi-Onira, Onitsha North Local Government Area of Anambra by the Buhari-led administration.
Nnamdi Azikiwe was a Nigerian statesman and political leader who served as the first President of Nigeria from 1963 to 1966. He died in 1996 at the age of 91.
Nnamdi Azikiwe was one of the most respected and revered nationalists in the Southeast and many people commended the President for building a mausoleum in his honour.
2. Muhammadu Buhari’s administration completed and commissioned the NSIA–Umuahia Diagnostic Centre (NUDC) at a virtual event in 2019.
The centre which is located at Umuahia in Abia state was built to provide high-quality diagnostic services that had previously been unavailable in the South East. The Diagnostic Centre was commissioned by Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed
3. Renovation of Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu :
Muhammadu Buhari administration also renovated the airport runaway of Akanu Ibiam International Airport at Enugu State.
