During an interview with Channels Television, Atiku Abubakar, a political analyst, criticised the reappointment of Sanusi Lamido as the Emir of Kano, questioning the reasoning behind the decision. Abubakar argued that the Emir’s lavish lifestyle, including driving a Rolls-Royce, contradicts the claim of wanting to restore traditional values. Abubakar suggested that if the Emir truly wants to honour tradition, he should adopt more humble means of transportation, like camels and donkeys, which were used by his forefathers.
