Peter Gregory Obi and all those who were against the purchase of new presidential jets for President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima have been criticized by the Islamic group, Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC).

Recall that according to Premium Times, Mr. Obi described the move to purchase new aircraft to add to the existing presidential fleet as unacceptable and a clear show of insensitivity to the suffering of the Nigerian people.

According to Arise Television, the MURIC on the importance of new presidential jets wrote that “With new presidential jets, humongous economic benefits await Nigerians as the president and his vice president will be able to honor international obligations and events, thereby attracting confidence in the safety of investments in Nigeria.

The group also added that “the National Assembly should ignore the rantings of Peter Obi and his co-travelers. Nigeria should go ahead and buy new presidential jets to avoid a national calamity.
