According to a report by Daily Post, on Sunday May 17, 2026, popular businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, has reacted after losing the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat in Imo State.
The celebrity businessman, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, contested for the APC ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections, however, he secured only 14 votes during the party’s primary election held in Imo State.
The result quickly became a major topic on social media, with many users expressing surprise over the outcome, some critics mocked the nightlife promoter, especially because of his public support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling APC.
Cubana Chief Priest later addressed the situation in a video shared online, in the clip, he said he was not disappointed about joining politics or contesting for office, according to him, his biggest mistake was placing too much trust in some elders within his community.
He explained that he had invested time, support and resources into the people he believed would stand by him during the primary election, despite this, the final result did not favour him.
The businessman described himself as someone who works hard and takes risks, he maintained that he had no regrets about trying to serve through politics, even though the outcome was not what he expected.
“I’m a hustler, and I didn’t regret trying to contest for a position. My only regret was trusting the elders in the community. I know how much I gave them, but only 14 people voted for me in the primary,” he said….See More
