Yusuf Lawal Muse, the 85-year-old traditional ruler of Benin Republic, made a surprising revelation regarding his son, Musa, confessing to his participation in different illegal activities and violent behavior against him. He claimed he had to hire individuals to kill him first and then send his head, heart, and hands to him for herbal use. Mr. Muse reportedly moved to Ibatefin-Ikpoka in Ogun State, then to Adodo in that exact state, where he then resided with his wives and children.

In Yusuf Lawal Muse’s words in the report by Vanguard News, “He was into a lot of criminal activities—very stubborn, stealing, and even threatening to kill me. The whole thing came to a climax after he learned that I wrote a will and excluded him. He then openly resorted to threatening to take my life. That was why I engaged people to kill him first and send his head, heart, fingers, and hands to me for herbal purposes.”

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested Mr. Muse and other suspects.
