Former senator representing Kogi West and a prominent member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dino Melaye, has reacted strongly to Nigeria’s inclusion on a list of countries facing severe hunger challenges across Africa.
Melaye’s response followed reports circulating online and in the media which ranked Nigeria among nations grappling with acute food insecurity.
The report, which also mentioned other countries such as South Sudan and Pakistan, indicated that Afghanistan topped the list, while Nigeria was placed fifth among countries experiencing significant levels of hunger.
The development sparked widespread discussion on social media, with concerns being raised about the worsening food situation and its impact on vulnerable populations.
