Ask Him, Weekly, He Calls About 8-10 Media Houses, He Pays Them ₦40M Because He Wants To Rant–George

Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy National Chairman, Chief Bode George, has alleged that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, spends large sums of money on media engagements, claiming the minister invites several media organisations weekly to air his views.

George made the allegation during an interview on TVC News while responding to questions about his long-running disagreement with Wike. He maintained that he has no interest in reconciling with the FCT minister, insisting that discussing Wike is beneath his dignity.

The PDP chieftain said he would rather focus on issues affecting Nigerians than engage in conversations about the minister. He also argued that questions surrounding the political crisis involving Wike should be directed to the minister himself, including issues relating to the leadership of the group involved when the dispute began.

During the interview, George further claimed that Wike frequently invites between eight and 10 media houses for media interactions and allegedly pays each of them ₦40 million. He questioned whether any other serving minister in the country holds similar media engagements on such a scale and suggested the total cost would be substantial.

According to George, “Ask him, every week he calls about 8 to 10 media houses, he pays them 40 million naira because he wants to rant. Which other minister does that?”

George, however, did not present evidence to support the allegation during the interview. As of the time of reporting, Wike had not publicly responded to the claim…See_More
