APC: They Took Over Funding Of LP And Started Manipulating Abure Led Chairmanship Using Court-Nwaokobia

Political commentator, Dr Chris Nwaokobia, has accused Nigeria’s ruling party of orchestrating efforts to weaken opposition parties, alleging deliberate interference in their internal structures.

Nwaokobia made the claims during an interview on SYMFONI TV, where he spoke on the state of opposition politics and what he described as increasing external influence in party affairs. His remarks come amid ongoing disputes within several political parties, raising concerns about political stability and democratic competition.

In the interview, he stated, “They started first with Labour Party. They took over the funding of Labour Party and started manipulating the Julius Abure-led chairmanship using a plethora of court orders to mess the party up.” The allegation points to what he believes is a calculated attempt to destabilize opposition platforms through financial control and legal maneuvering.

According to Nwaokobia, such actions, if left unchecked, could undermine the democratic process by weakening credible alternatives to the ruling party.
