In a video shared by Arise News on Saturday, July 18, 2026, Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodinma, has declared Imo State a one-party state, expressing confidence that the ruling All Progressive Congress APC will deliver victory to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 presidential election.

In recent times, several politicians have decamped from one political party to another in search for greener pastures ahead of the forthcoming 2027 presidential election.

However, in the video, Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodinma, relayed the massive increase in the state’s allocations since the emergence of the ruling government.

Uzodinma revealed that when President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in on May 29, 2023, he received about N7 billion as state allocations, and so he had to support the removal of the fuel subsidy even when others opposed it.
