JAMB: Owoeye Daniella Jesudunsin Emerges Highest Scorer in 2026 UTME with 372

Owoeye Daniella Jesudunsin from Ekiti State has emerged as the highest-scoring candidate in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), scoring 372 out of 400.

According to TheCable on Monday, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, announced the result during the 2026 admission policy meeting held in Abuja. He said Daniella sat for the examination in Ogun State and selected the University of Lagos as her first choice to study Medicine and Surgery.

The score is three points lower than the highest mark recorded in the 2025 UTME, when Chinedu Okeke from Anambra State scored 375.

Ikenna Enwere from Imo State emerged as the second-highest scorer with 370 marks. He wrote the examination in Lagos State and chose Nile University, Abuja, to study Computer Science.

Ayomide Bamisile from Ondo State came third with 369 marks and selected the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), to study Software Engineering.

Other candidates who made the top list include Olabiyisi Olanrewaju Oluwatimileyin from Oyo State, Victor-Onyeka Daniel Ifeanyi from Imo State, Osagiobare Daniel Osahenrumwen from Edo State, Ademiluyi Adebowale Anthony from Osun State, and Azuike Kenechukwu Anthony from Anambra State, all of whom scored 368 marks.

Also on the list are Offorkile Michael Okechukwu from Abia State, Adebisi Eniola Sonari from Ogun State, and Umukoro Gift Orhenevovwero from Delta State, who each scored 367 marks.

During the meeting, stakeholders approved timelines for the 2026 admission process. Public universities are expected to conclude admissions by October 31, 2026, while private universities have until November 30. Polytechnics, monotechnics, and colleges of education are to complete admissions by December 31.

Oloyede warned that institutions that fail to meet the deadlines risk losing access to candidates for the admission session. He also said candidates offered admission must accept the offer within four weeks or face withdrawal.

The JAMB registrar further disclosed plans to introduce a “Bring Your Own Device” option for the 2027 UTME. Under the new arrangement, candidates would use personal devices with flash drives during examinations as part of efforts to reduce malpractice and improve efficiency.
