The governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okphebolo has revealed what two governors told him after he asked them why they defected to the All Progressive Congress, APC.
The statement of Senator Monday Okphebolo was contained in a video that was posted on the official X handle of CHANNELS TV on April 30, 2026.
He made the statement while addressing the issue of some governors who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.
In the video that surfaced online, the governor of Edo state said the governors told him they defected because President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has performed well. He said they joined APC because they wanted to work with the President.
