According to a video posted on the official YouTube channel of Arise News on Sunday, May 10, 2026, public policy analyst Chris Nwaokobia spoke about the growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 presidential election and the challenges facing opposition parties in Nigeria.
During the interview, Nwaokobia expressed concern over the increasing divisions among opposition politicians, warning that disunity could strengthen the chances of the ruling party in the next election cycle. He said opposition leaders must put aside personal ambition and work together if they truly want political change in the country.
Speaking on his political preference, Nwaokobia said, “Without a convocation, my sentiments and emotions are still with Peter Obi, and I’ll give you two reasons.”
