A Pastor Knelt On Alter Begging Wike To Pity The Poor; He Replied, ‘Even If God Comes Down, I won’t’ -Ameh

Speaking during an interview on Symfoni TV (May 10, 2026), Peter Ameh referenced former leader Sani Abacha’s era of strong authority, noting that God was not considered in decision-making, leading to mistakes in governance.

He further cited an incident involving Nyesom Wike, referencing an alleged response linked to comments made during a public exchange. He described a situation where a pastor and respected woman of God knelt on the altar pleading for consideration of poor citizens.

He also noted that many Nigerians are disengaging from civic participation due to dissatisfaction with national developments ongoing issues.

In his words, “Abacha was very powerful. They didn’t put God into the equation. They made mistakes. A pastor, a respected woman of God, knelt down on the altar and was pleading with you (referring to Nyesom Wike) to please think of poor people.
