They Played Tinubu’s Video In Brazil Saying There’s No Corruption In Nigeria There Was Uproar -Omoyele Sowore

Omoyele Sowore, an activist and former presidential hopeful representing the AAC, has disclosed that a video of President Bola Tinubu in Brazil asserting there is no corruption in Nigeria caused significant unrest in court, which he termed the most captivating moment of the session.

In a video shared by Symfoni TV, Sowore elaborated on this incident following a recent court hearing related to his ongoing lawsuit against the federal government, mentioning that the video sparked notable disapproval from those attending.

Sowore indicated that the trial revealed what he perceived as anxiety within the prosecution, citing an occasion where a senior attorney insisted he place his phone on the table due to concerns he was recording the session.

He criticized the reliability of the testimony provided by the DSS, claiming that even the senior counsel could not confidently vouch for the credibility of the witness presented. Sowore dismissed the agency’s preparedness, asserting that their focus was misaligned.

He also drew attention to the increasing violence in the country, particularly the kidnapping of numerous Christians in Kaduna State, where no captures or rescues had occurred. He questioned why security forces seemed more intent on surveilling critics rather than addressing violent crimes that are openly discussed online.

Sowore maintained that the legal proceedings would not diminish his determination, emphasizing that he would return to court to continue what he described as a sham process, while reasserting his dedication to opposing failures in leadership and governance in Nigeria.

He remarked, “An interesting aspect was when they showed a video of President Tinubu in Brazil claiming there’s no corruption in Nigeria, which caused an uproar in the court. For me, that marked the end of the case.”
