During a hearing on the alleged fake agency scandal, Yusuf Adamu Gadji, the member representing Pankshin/Kanam/Kanke Federal Constituency of Plateau State in the House of Representatives, commented on the ongoing investigation into the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).
Speaking in a video posted on TV Platinum on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, Gadji said members of the investigative panel initially believed they were probing a single agency but later discovered that two different names were being used interchangeably. He noted that this discrepancy became apparent after examining official documents and correspondence.
According to him, “We are told we’re investigating one agency. We didn’t know that the names of the fake agencies are two in one. We always put Presidential Economic Advisory Council slash Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, and yet his letter of appointment does not carry “Presidential Economic Advisory Council.” But if they are writing to an agency, they will include one other agency.”
Gadji said the difference between the names used in official letters and those contained in the appointment document raised additional questions for the committee.
