People Are Not Looking At The Strategic Calculation Taken By Peter Obi To Have A Free Platform -Ameh

Former National Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Peter Ameh, has described Peter Obi’s decision to align with Senator Seriake Dickson and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a calculated political move designed to protect the interests of his supporters.

Speaking on Channels TV, Ameh said, “People are not looking at the strategic calculation taken by Peter Obi to be able to have a free platform that will be able to guarantee the interests of his teeming supporters and those who wish for a credible process,” he said.

He pushed back against critics who have questioned the NDC’s political weight, pointing to Sen. Dickson’s track record as evidence of the party’s strength. “People are saying, ‘Oh, the NDC is new.’ Look, don’t forget that Seriake Dickson, who is the leader of the NDC today, made sure that PDP alone won in Bayelsa state. So that is a plus,” Ameh said.

Ameh also questioned why the ADC was not channelling its energy into promoting its own southern aspirants instead of fixating on a man who had already moved on.
