Ogidi’s Mom Said In 2022 Police Took Her Son From Home & Edafe Said He Died In A Gunfight -Gwamnishu

A Nigerian human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, has stated that during his visit to the mother of the late Oghenemine Ogidi, she told him something that deeply touched him

In an interview with Honest Bunch Podcast by Glitch Africa Studios, Gwamnishu said the grieving mother told him police officers came to her house in 2022 and took away one of her sons, who was older than Oghenemine

According to Gwamnishu, Oghenemine’s mother said she later saw a police press release issued by SP Bright Edafe in 2022, saying her son was killed in an exchange of gunfire with police officers at a junction

Gwamnishu said the grieving mother then told him that the recent killing of Oghenemine means this is the second time she is losing a child to the police

In Gwamnishu’s words: “Oghenemine’s mother said one thing that touched me deeply. She said in 2022 police came to her house and took one of her sons, the one who was older than Oghenemine. Then later she saw in a police press release that Bright Edafe, the PRO of Police, released in the year 2022, that police caught one boy at a junction and after an exchange of gunfire police killed the boy. She said that’s how they killed her first child in 2022. She said this is now the second time police are killing her children….See More
