No Matter How You Criticise Those Dressing Holy To Church, The Foundation Of God Stands Sure–Olukoya

Pastor Daniel Olukoya, General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, has declared that God’s standards of holiness remain unchanged, warning Christians against criticising believers who choose to dress modestly to church.

Olukoya made the statement during a sermon shared on YouTube, where he challenged Christians who seek religious environments that accommodate their preferred lifestyles instead of adhering to biblical teachings.

The cleric maintained that regardless of how people attempt to redefine Christianity, God’s expectations of those who profess His name would remain the same.

He said, “No matter what you say, no matter how you try to rebrand your own Christianity, no matter how you criticise those who are dressing holy to church, the foundation of God standeth sure.”

Olukoya also criticised believers who abandon churches where holiness is emphasised in favour of places where they can dress and behave according to their personal preferences.

According to him, outward declarations of faith are not enough to establish a genuine relationship with God, as believers must demonstrate their commitment through obedience and a departure from iniquity.

Quoting 2 Timothy 2:19, the preacher reiterated that the Lord knows those who belong to Him and that everyone who identifies with His name must turn away from sin.

He warned that Christians should not assume they belong to God merely because they repeatedly profess their faith, stressing the importance of living according to biblical standards.

Olukoya further urged believers to remove anything that could compete with God for their devotion, including material possessions, social engagements and personal interests.

He challenged Christians to consider whether losing something they valued would cause them to abandon their faith, explaining that anything that takes God’s place in their lives has become an idol.

The preacher also cited the account of Lot’s wife, who became a pillar of salt after looking back while escaping the destruction of Sodom, as a warning against divided commitment.

He explained that her attachment to what she was leaving behind prevented her from fully obeying the divine instruction to escape.

Olukoya urged Christians to take God’s word seriously and resist attempts to lower biblical standards to accommodate changing lifestyles.

He concluded by praying that believers would not provoke the jealousy of God through disobedience and misplaced priorities.
