He’s Over 70 and has been riding a jet from 40″ –Fatoyinbo speaks on Bishop Oyedepo’s prosperity

The Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, has urged Christians to study the principles behind the success of Bishop David Oyedepo rather than criticise his prosperity, saying the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide has demonstrated consistent results over several decades.

Speaking during a recent sermon shared on YouTube, Fatoyinbo said many people are quick to question Oyedepo’s wealth without taking time to understand the biblical principles that have shaped his ministry. He noted that the bishop’s long-standing prosperity cannot be dismissed as ordinary.

“I studied Bishop Oyedepo very well,” Fatoyinbo said. “Anybody can stand anywhere and abuse him and ask, ‘Where did he get the money?’ He’s over 70 years old. He’s been riding a jet from 40. How? Wake up. He’s not normal.”

The preacher explained that he had personally observed Oyedepo’s ministry and was convinced there were spiritual principles behind its growth.

“I’ve been there. When I observed him, everybody was against him, but he just kept building his schools and money was flowing. How?” he asked.

Fatoyinbo also reflected on his own experience in ministry, noting that not every pastor enjoys the same level of financial success despite years of service.

“I’ve been a pastor for 27 years. I talk to pastors one-on-one. Not everybody sees this level of prosperity,” he said.

According to him, sustaining a thriving ministry requires more than human effort, adding that many people underestimate the spiritual discipline and principles involved.

“You want to do a programme and think you are mates with everyone. You must know something,” he said.

Fatoyinbo urged believers to move beyond criticism and instead seek understanding of biblical principles that produce lasting results.

He maintained that prosperity in ministry should not automatically attract suspicion but should encourage Christians to study the lives of those who have remained consistent over time.

The cleric concluded that faithful obedience to God’s principles, rather than public opinion, remains the foundation for enduring success, encouraging believers to focus on learning instead of condemning what they do not understand…See More
