Iran’s army has declared that it will undoubtedly resist until the end and will neutralize American interventions in the region.
According to a report by The Times of Israel on July 16, 2026, the military leadership remains firm in its position amid rising tensions.
Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, the army spokesman, emphasized that the only way to reopen the Strait of Hormuz involves full United States compliance with the 14-point memorandum of understanding signed by both sides in June along with the implementation of Iranian regulations regarding ship traffic in the strait.
Akraminia further warned that if President Donald Trump follows through on his threat to attack Iran’s infrastructure, the country’s armed forces would strike all remaining infrastructure across the region.
He added that the response would prove more severe, wider in scope, and more destructive than any previous attacks, demonstrating Iran’s readiness to defend its interests with overwhelming force.
The army confirmed that it had already targeted United States bases in Kuwait and Jordan as part of its defensive measures.
Officials stressed that such actions serve as direct warnings to neighboring countries.
Iran’s military leaders stated that their neighbors should know providing a base to the Americans and allowing them to fire on Iranian soil counts as unacceptable and will not go unanswered..See_More
