How I Reacted When I Was Poor And My Friend Picked Things From Store Without Checking Price-Adeboye

In a recent video on YouTube, Enoch Adeboye has shared a personal experience illustrating the contrast between poverty and abundance, using a simple encounter during a trip with a wealthy friend to highlight his message on divine provision.

Speaking during a sermon, Adeboye recalled a moment from earlier in his life when financial limitations shaped his everyday decisions. According to him, the experience occurred during a visit to a store with a friend who was financially comfortable.

“We branched at a store… I was poor, so I was checking items that were on sale,” he said, describing how he carefully selected only discounted goods due to his limited means.

Adeboye explained that the experience became a powerful lesson that he often shares to illustrate the difference between lack and abundance, particularly in the context of faith and divine provision.

According to him, the story reflects how a person’s circumstances can change when they experience what he described as God’s intervention, moving from a place of struggle to one of sufficiency and ease.

The cleric emphasized that beyond material wealth, the lesson speaks to a broader spiritual principle—trusting in God’s ability to provide beyond human limitations….See More
