Herdsmen Sent Threatening Letter To Me, Vow To Kill Me Soon, The Letter Was Written In Hausa–Dachomo

According to a report by Daily Post on Friday, July 17, 2026, the Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, has raised concerns over an alleged death threat he received from suspected Fulani herdsmen.

Dachomo disclosed the development following fresh attacks in parts of Plateau State. He said the letter, written in both English and Hausa, contained threats against his life and members of his family. According to him, copies of the letter were also delivered to some members of his church.

The cleric explained that the message indicated the writers intended to attack him and his household. He added that he had already forwarded copies of the letter to security agencies for investigation and appropriate action.

Dachomo further alleged that those behind the letter claimed responsibility for the deaths of some of his relatives in previous attacks. He expressed concern over the persistent insecurity affecting communities across Plateau State and called for stronger measures to protect residents and prevent further violence.

Despite the alleged threats, the church leader said he would not be intimidated or abandon his responsibilities. He maintained that his faith gives him confidence to continue serving his community.

“A few days ago, Fulani herdsmen sent a threatening letter to me. They vowed to kill me soon. The letter was written in both Hausa and English, and its message was terrifying,” Dachomo said.
