A sad incident has occurred at Kime filling station, Bolori Junction in Maiduguri, Borno state capital, resulting in the death of four protesters.
According to the report by Daily Trust on Thursday, officials of the filling station have given accounts of how the victims died. They said that the victims were workers at the filling station.
One of the attendants at the filling station who gave his name as Malam Musa said the victims died from an explosion.
He said that he was with the victims when they died from the explosion, and that he would have been affected too, but that he was lucky to escape. He added that the victims are still lying in the pool of their blood.
He said, “As I’m speaking to you now, they are still lying in the pool of their blood.”
Speaking further, he said, “I nearly got affected, but as God would have it, I escaped unhurt.”

The death of the four protesters is coming hours after an explosion occurred at a local tea joint in Kawuri village, Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State, claiming no fewer than 19 lives.
According to media reports, the attack was suspected to be the handwork of Boko Haram insurgents.
