Adeboye Said He Wasn't A Politician, But Why Is He Commanding Service Chiefs To Resign?

Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission has raised serious questions over the antics of clergyman, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle on Wednesday June 3rd, 2026 he pointed out that his commands to the service chiefs were unnecessary.

The senior pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), it can be recalled, had stirred a controversial debate after he called on the service chiefs to annihilate the bandits or step aside.

Chidi Odinkalu, widely admired for his outspokenness, pointed out that the senior pastor was neither a politician or a member of president Tinubu’s cabinet, and hence, his commands were not needed.

He further pointed out that giving commands to service chiefs was the sole responsibility of the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, hence, his advice should be directed to the president.
