How The Mighty Has Fallen. After I listened To Fayose, I Kept Telling Myself, ‘What Is Wrong?’ – Segun Sowunmi

In an interview on Channels Television’s “Politics Today,” Segun Sowunmi, a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), strongly rebuked former Governor Ayodele Fayose’s warning about coup mongers and his defense of President Bola Tinubu.

Sowunmi dismissed Fayose’s comments as “rubbish” and expressed disappointment in the former governor’s stance. He questioned how Fayose, who once held public office, could lose the respect of Nigerians by speaking in support of the current administration.

Sowunmi argued that Fayose’s attempt to elicit empathy for the government by downplaying the country’s current challenges is misguided. He emphasized that the country’s situation was not as dire before Tinubu’s administration and that there is no justification for the current state of affairs.
