You Can’t Take A Baby From A Mother. Nobody Will Become Council Chairman Without The Gov – Ayo Fayose
Ayo Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, expressed his opinions on the recent Supreme Court decision that grants local governments authority.
During an interview on Channels TV’s Sunday Politics program, Fayose shared his opinions. The Supreme Court’s decision to give local governments financial autonomy is intended to increase their independence and lessen the power of state governments.
This decision is regarded as a significant step in the direction of encouraging local government and decentralizing authority. Fayose thinks that the bond between chairmen of local governments and governors would be firm regardless of this ruling.
He maintained that governors are still very important to the local political system. He also discussed how this verdict will be used practically. He emphasized the difficulties local governments would have in achieving true autonomy.
