I Contributed Over 75% of Ilebaye’s Votes,But When She Won BBN, She No Longer Listened to Me–Odiniya

Emmanuel Godson Odiniya, father of Ilebaye Odiniya, has spoken about the crisis between him and his daughter following allegations that he assaulted her.

In a video shared by Punch, according to him, Ilebaye was once one of his best children, and he made sure she attended good schools because of the love and care he had for her. He said he fully supported her decision to join Big Brother Naija and worked hard to help her succeed in the competition.

Odiniya claimed he personally contributed more than 75 percent of the efforts that helped her win the show in 2023. He explained that he used his connections within and outside Nigeria to gather support and votes for her, while some governors and associates also donated money during the voting process.

However, he said things changed after her victory. According to him, Ilebaye stopped listening to his advice and became difficult to reach whenever he tried to correct or guide her. He also alleged that there were frequent quarrels between her and her mother, which he often stepped in to settle.

Odiniya added that he repeatedly encouraged his daughter to appreciate the people who supported her journey on the reality show, but she allegedly refused to listen.

He ended by thanking Nigerians for their support and asked the public to pray for peace in his family and for positive changes in his daughter’s attitude.

In his words, “I contributed a lot, using my relationship with Nigerians all over the world to vote for my daughter massively. My personal contribution is well over 75 percent. But when she successfully came out of that place and won, what I was expecting, from her wasn’t coming. Ilebaye no longer listens to me, each time I correct her….See More
