Woman Cries Out: I found these eggs under my bed, and I have no idea what animal they belong to. Does anyone recognize them

A video posted by a woman living in Abuja has gone viral after she said she discovered a cluster of eggs hidden under her bed and had no idea what animal they belong to. “I found these eggs under my bed, and I have no idea what animal they belong to. Does anyone recognize them or know what they might be?” she asked in the clip, showing the world what she saw today.

In the video, the woman’s voice trembles as she films the eggs tucked against the wall frame beneath her bed. She said she only noticed them while cleaning her room and immediately moved away, worried about what could have laid them.

“I was just sweeping and I saw them. I screamed,” she said. “I live alone in Abuja and now I’m scared to even sleep here tonight.”

The footage quickly spread on X, Facebook, and TikTok, with viewers zooming in to count the eggs and study their size, color, and shell texture.

The comments section turned into a crowd-sourced identification board. Some users suggested they could be reptile eggs, pointing to lizards or geckos that often hide in cool, dark places indoors. Others speculated about snakes, birds, or large insects, while a few joked that it looked like something from a movie.

Herpetologists and pest control experts in Nigeria often warn that gecko or lizard eggs are common household finds in Abuja, especially during the rainy season when animals seek shelter indoors. Snake eggs are less common but not impossible, particularly in areas near bushy plots or uncompleted buildings.

Wildlife and pest control professionals are urging caution. “Do not touch or move the eggs with bare hands,” one Abuja-based pest expert advised online. “If you are unsure, take photos from a distance and call a licensed pest control company or the Ministry of Environment. They can identify them safely and remove them without risk.”

They also recommend sealing gaps under beds, wardrobes, and walls, keeping rooms dry, and reducing clutter where reptiles or rodents can hide.

The Abuja resident said she has not slept in the room since finding the eggs and is waiting for help to identify them. “I just want to know what they are before I touch anything,” she said in a follow-up comment…See More
