Cardinal John Onaiyekan has stated that during their meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, they told him some of the things affecting the nation.

In the video that was posted on the YouTube page of Arise News on July 31, 2026, John Onaiyekan stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu disagreed with the things they told him.

He said during their meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, they made him understand that things are not going on well in the country and that the economy is not doing fine. Cardinal John Onaiyekan said during the meeting, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu didn’t want to hear the things they told him.
