Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to the killing of 29 footballers by terrorists in Adamawa state and insecurity across Nigeria.
In a post on Facebook on 1st May 2026, he expressed concern over the increasing widespread violence of terrorists in Nigeria. He emphasized that the terrorists’ attacks were relentless and targeted innocent children and vulnerable individuals.
He also mentioned that during the last Ramadan, the terrorists launched attacks that resulted in the deaths of Muslims in mosques.
According to him, their violence was not limited to any specific group, as they showed no mercy towards women, children, the physically challenged, or even those who were sick in hospitals. Shehu Sani pointed out the indiscriminate nature of these attacks, highlighting their brutality.
Furthermore, he expressed doubt about which God they could be fighting for, asserting that these killers had no religion or divine purpose. Instead, he believed they were driven solely by a thirst for human blood, and that their actions proved they lacked any true spiritual or moral grounding.
He wrote, “Within one week,the terrorists killed 29 young footballers in Adamawa and kidnapped over a hundred orphans from an orphanage in Kwara. During the last Ramadan,they launched attacks and killed Muslims in the mosques.
