There Was A Governor Who Was Carrying Corpse Of President Buhari When He Was Still Alive’ -Mohammed

Lai Mohammed, the former Minister of Information, has stated that during Muhammadu Buhari’s first term in office as president, false rumors about Buhari’s death were widely spread while he was away on medical treatment in London.

In an interview with TVC, Mohammed said that despite his efforts to show the public that President Buhari was alive and recovering, many people chose to believe the fake news that he was dead. He stated that a sitting governor at the time was convinced Buhari had died. Mohammed said the governor personally came to him and told him that Buhari was already dead.

Mohammed said that after Buhari returned to Nigeria, some people began spreading a new false story that the man who returned was not Buhari, but a body double named “Jubril from Sudan.”
