In a world where a single social media post can shift global markets, foreign policy experts are urging African leaders to exercise diplomatic caution when addressing world powers.
The warning follows a series of sharp critiques directed at U.S. President Donald Trump by high-ranking African officials, most notably Senegal’s Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.
Sonko recently described the American leader as a figure of destabilization who has plunged the world into chaos a statement that has sparked intense debate over the direction of African foreign policy.
Speaking on News Central TV, Bolu Michael-Biyi, a Foreign Policy Analyst based in Eswatini, cautioned that such rhetoric could have unintended economic and diplomatic consequences for the continent.
