‎In an interview with Daily Independent on Monday, April 27, 2026, Chief Dan Ulasi, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former chairman of the party in Anambra State, has spoken about his past disagreement with Peter Obi and his current political stance.

‎He explained that there was no personal quarrel between him and Peter Obi, he said the misunderstanding started during the political activities leading up to the 2023 elections, according to him, a meeting was held involving Anambra stakeholders in Enugu State, where leaders were encouraged to hold their meetings in Awka instead of Enugu.

‎Ulasi stated that his current view of Peter Obi is different from before, he described Obi as someone who still has value in Nigeria’s political space, he said he now sees him as a possible tool for positive change in the country, depending on how events unfold.
