As per a report by PUNCH on Thursday, April 23, 2026, a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dan Ulasi, has disclosed information regarding his encounters with former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi.
Discussing the meeting, Ulasi mentioned that Obi typically notified him shortly before showing up at his home. He noted that on one occasion, he quickly gathered some acquaintances and important individuals from the South-East to engage with Obi.
Ulasi further mentioned that Obi had come to see him multiple times this year, including a recent visit following an event at Coal City University in Enugu. He indicated that these gatherings allowed him to carefully consider Obi’s visions for the nation.
He commended Obi’s proposals and remarked that hearing him speak in person instills hope for Nigeria’s future. Nonetheless, he did not explicitly express any political backing for Obi.
