Ngoshe: I Spoke To Terrorists; The Videos You Saw Online, I Directed Them To Get That Video-Kaigama

Samaila Kaigama, President of the Borno South Youth Alliance, has revealed that he personally communicated with the terrorists responsible for the Ngoshe mass abduction, saying he coordinated the negotiation process and directed the production of the videos that later surfaced online during efforts to secure the release of the victims.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television on Tuesday, 21 July, 2026, Kaigama recounted his involvement in the negotiations following the kidnapping of about 460 women and children from Ngoshe, Borno State.

He explained that reaching the leaders of the armed group was a lengthy process that required weeks of communication before meaningful discussions could begin. According to him, the videos released during the negotiations were produced under his direction to serve as proof that the captives were still alive.

Describing his role, Kaigama said, “I spoke to the terrorists. I was the one who made all the process. The videos you saw online, I was the one who directed them to get that video for us. It took me around 2 to 3 weeks communicating with them until I got to the top.”
