N25.7Bn Were Donated In 2 Days For Library, I Begged Mrs Tinubu To Give It To The Natl Govt -George

In an interview on The Legacy Series, Bode George, a retired Commodore in the Nigerian Navy, spoke about funds raised by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu for the completion of the long-abandoned National Library project in Abuja

George said that about 25.7 billion naira was donated to Mrs Tinubu for the completion of the project. He said he has appealed to Mrs Tinubu to reconsider how the money should be used. He said she should hand the funds over to the national government and it should be used to support poor Nigerians through welfare programs.
