Omoyele Sowore, former presidential candidate of the AAC, has stated that former Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami is currently being held in the very same detention cell that Nnamdi Kanu’s brother occupied when he was arrested in October 2025.

In a video shared by Symfoni TV, Sowore said Malami was granted bail by the court but he has refused to process his bail. He said Malami’s case should serve as a lesson to those in power who act with impunity, believing they are untouchable.

Sowore said there was a time in the past when Malami ordered security agents to forcefully take him away from the Federal High Court even after a judge granted him bail.

In Sowore’s words: “Now interestingly it is the cell that Nnamdi Kanu’s brother was staying when we were arrested in October that Malami is staying. He has even refused to process his bail”
