Kabiyesi Told Me The Crew Evaded Crash On A School; We Found The Plane Had Problems In Benin -Sowore

Omoyele Sowore, the AAC presidential candidate, has spoken about the military plane that crashed in Igbokoda, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State while heading to Lagos

In a video shared by Omoyele Sowore on YouTube, he said the Kabiyesi of the town told him that the aircraft crew deserved commendation for preventing the plane from crashing directly into a secondary school there.

Sowore said the Air Force could do better by ensuring that its aircraft are properly maintained. He said he found out that the aircraft had developed problems in Benin City, Edo State, before departing for Lagos.

In Sowore’s words: “I have been told by the Kabiyesi that the people we must thank are the crew on this flight. He said the crew made it possible to have evaded a direct crash on the secondary school here. So they must have been good people. I don’t want to make any political statement here, but we could have done better as a nation to be flying aircraft that are well maintained because one other thing we found out was that plane had initial problems in Benin before it was taken out of Benin to Lagos.
