The immediate past spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Mogaji Seye Oladejo, has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to supporting credible and transparent elections in Nigeria.
Speaking in an interview with DAILY INDEPENDENT on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, Oladejo stated that the APC, as the ruling and largest political party in the country, is prepared to contribute its quota towards ensuring a free and fair electoral process.
He emphasized that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is constitutionally responsible for conducting elections, including the deployment of personnel and electoral materials, noting that political parties do not perform these functions.
Oladejo called for cooperation among all stakeholders, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in achieving peaceful, transparent, and credible elections in the country.
