Senator Shehu Sani, a renowned human rights activist and former Kaduna central senatorial district lawmaker has described the decision by Femi Fani-Kayode to swap his ambassadorial role to South Africa as purely a personal decision.
According to the statements which were published on his official X account on Thursday May 7th, 2026 he pointed out that the request made by the former aviation minister was without ambiguity.
Femi Fani-Kayode, it can be recalled, had caused a massive stir after he announced that his ambassadorial posting was changed from Germany to South Africa.
In his statements, he had made it known that the change was as a result of a request made by himself to President Tinubu. The reasons however, sparked massive public debate as many argued that the former aviation minister was rejected by the German authorities.
