Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has raised concerns over allegations involving the Office of the National Security Adviser, following claims attributed to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
Fani-Kayode made the remarks in a video shared on X on Monday, February 23, 2026. The video was recorded during a visit by former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, to his residence. Reacting to a letter allegedly written to the National Security Adviser, Fani-Kayode expressed concern about claims that toxic chemical weapons had been brought into the country.
He said, “But what worries me the more is the letter that he now wrote to the NSA, saying that the NSA allegedly had brought in very dangerous toxic chemical weapons, essentially, because I’ve done the research on that particular type of poison he’s talking about. That poison has been banned in most countries and it’s used to actually kill people and kill animals and it’s extremely dangerous. It can kill hundreds of thousands of people in just a few hours. It’s a very dangerous poison. He has accused the NSA of bringing this into our country.”
He dismissed the allegation and described it as false: “Now, we know this is not true. It is a lie. The NSA has not done that. He has nothing to do that. That’s not the type of person he is and neither does this government do such things. But my fear is this.”
Fani-Kayode further questioned the implications of the alleged phone hacking claim and its possible connection to the chemical weapons accusation: “How can we be sure that those that hack or are able to hack the NSA’s telephone, probably his WhatsApp as well, if it is true, these are the kind of people that are also capable of smuggling such material, chemical weapons, into our country.”
He added, “They will alert the world through Nasir El-Rufai that the NSA has smuggled such things in and then, of course, they will now use those things themselves against our population and then they’ll now claim it was the government that did it and the NSA that did it. It’s what you call, as you know, a false flag operation. It’s a covert operation. Black ops. And this is common practice in intelligence circles and in terrorist circles.”
He added that he was raising questions rather than making accusations: “Now, I am not saying that’s what he has done. I’m only asking questions and this is a legitimate question that he needs to answer. If you’re saying chemical weapons are voted, you better be able to prove it. If you can’t prove it, it means somebody has brought them in.”
He added, “Who are you working with outside this country or even within this country? And I think that’s something that I’m going to write next week. The security agencies really do need to look into for the safety of all of us because I do not trust some of the people that El-Rufai claims are capable of hacking into the NSA’s phone. If they can do that, they can do absolutely anything.”…..See More
