Dr Aisha Muhammed Oyebode, daughter of late Head of State Murtala Muhammed, has spoken about the 2014 abduction of Chibok schoolgirls
In an interview with Rainbow Book Club, Oyebode said Boko Haram attacked the Federal Government College in Buni Yadi, Yobe State six weeks before the Chibok attack
Oyebode said Boko Haram killed 59 male students in the school. She said the insurgents gathered the girls in the school assembly hall and told them to go home because school was not meant for girls.
Oyebode added that after this attack happened in Yobe, the federal government should not have allowed large numbers of students to remain in boarding schools in the Northeast
