Chris Nwokobia, a member of the ADC, spoke in a video posted on Symfoni, where he reacted to the controversy surrounding Nafiu Bala’s resignation and subsequent denial, describing the development as troubling for Nigeria’s opposition politics. He stated that the unfolding situation has raised serious allegations and deepened concerns about interference in party affairs.
He argued that the sequence of events, from Bala’s reported resignation to his later claim that he never stepped down, suggests a pattern that could undermine the credibility of the ADC as a viable opposition platform. He added that claims circulating about financial inducement, though unproven, have fueled suspicion and intensified political tensions around the party’s leadership crisis.
According to him, “A man resigned from his position because, according to him, he felt that the ADC should serve as a veritable platform for the coalition.
