Veteran Yoruba Nollywood actress Oyewunmi Olufunmilayo has recounted a harrowing experience she once endured while on a movie job.
Speaking in an interview with FeelRightNews TV, she revealed that she unknowingly shared a living space with a snake in an apartment she lived during a movie job.
The actress described how the unusual discomfort she felt while sleeping at night went unexplained for days, leaving her unsettled and anxious.
She also revealed that whenever she prepared her meals, she would wake up to find the food scattered or spilled on the ground, causing confusion and fear.
Despite reassurance from the house owner that there was nothing to worry about, the repeated incidents made it clear that the disturbances were not ordinary. It was only after she left the residence that others who moved in discovered the source of the problem—a white snake.
She said: “I went for a job some years ago, and we spent about a month at the movie location. The producers helped me and gave me a room, and unknowingly to me, I was living with a snake. Punch News carried the story that year, and I still have the paper with me. Whenever I slept at night, I usually felt discomfort, not knowing that it was the snake that usually comes and spit all over my body.”
“The owner of the house usually told me not to worry, but whenever I wanted to go to work in the morning, I usually noticed that all the food and soup I cooked had poured on the ground. Unknowingly to me, it was the snake that was doing all that. So I left the house. When others saw that I left, they moved in, and one of them saw the snake. It was a white snake,” she added.
