There have been several reactions from social media users after it was announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC to unfreeze the account of the Osun state government.
This announcement was contained in a post that Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy shared on his official X handle on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
In the statement that surfaced online, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu stated that he has told the EFCC to immediately proceed to the court to vacate whatever action it has instituted against Osun state.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu stated that the decision was made in order to ensure that the Osun state governorship election is free and fair.
