Oyo: A Bandit Suggested My Hand Should Be Cut Off After They Lost Key To Handcuffs On My Hand—Victim

Mr. Olatunde Zacchaeus, a teacher who was among the victims of the Oriire school abduction in Oyo State, has recounted how he became the last captive to be released by the kidnappers.

Speaking in an interview with Nigeria Info FM, Zacchaeus said he was the last person abducted from the school and the last person released from the forest. He stated that he and the other male victims were handcuffed after they were captured.

Zacchaeus said that on the day of their release, the other captives were freed first. He stated that one kidnapper suggested cutting off his hands because the key to the handcuffs had broken. He said another kidnapper, however, opposed the idea and eventually used a small rope to remove the handcuffs before releasing him.

In Zacchaeus’ words: “They said I cannot carry these handcuffs home and they will look for way to lose the handcuffs. So one of them said they should cut off my hands. So the other said they should not cut off my hands and he will look for a way to remove the handcuffs..See_More
