If I Can Look At PBAT And Say I Won’t Support You, Why Should I Be Afraid To Speak Truth To Obi-Momodu

Media entrepreneur and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has said former Vice President Atiku Abubakar remains the strongest presidential material among politicians linked with the ADC.

Speaking during an interview on Morayo Afolabi-Brown’s show, Momodu explained that experience at the national level is important for anyone seeking to govern Nigeria. He said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu previously operated mainly in Lagos before becoming president and later discovered that leading the entire country was different from governing a state.

Momodu stated that he considers Peter Obi a friend and brother, but insisted he must speak honestly about his opinion on leadership and experience. According to him, if he could openly refuse to support Tinubu, whom he described as his man, then he should also be free to tell Obi what he believes is the truth.

He ranked Atiku as the top contender because of his experience as Nigeria’s vice president. He also placed former Rivers State governor Rotimi Amaechi and former Kano State governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso ahead of Obi based on their years in different national leadership positions.

Momodu added that Kwankwaso had previously stated he could not serve as Obi’s running mate because he believed he had more political experience and exposure.
